In 2018 I had the opportunity to make my way to America from Minna, Nigeria to play for a junior college in New Mexico. There I saw my teammate throwing away a pair of shoes that were worn and I asked him if I could send them back home. Lightly worn shoes like this could change a kids life. Since then I have been collecting shoes to send back home and seen the major influence it has created. That was only the beginning.

My brother Samson George and I have been fortunate enough to travel the world because of the game of basketball and were blessed in receiving shoes in Nigeria that opened doors for us and we wanted to be able to change the futures of others knowing we have been given so much. That is why we created The George Helping Hands Foundation.

The goal of The George Helping Hands Foundation is to serve underprivileged communities with heart and might to succeed. We not only strive to help communities in the US, but also in Nigeria. We aim to see the impact of our work today for many generations to come.
